Mrs. Foster’s Kindergarten Class

Our class had 3 visitors in our room from a HeadStart Pre-School Program.  They were hanging out in our room so that they could see what Kindergarten would be like for them next year.  Now they can be less nervous about going to school for the first time.  They joined us for our lesson on the life cycle of  a butterfly.  Our class did a great job showing our new friends how Kindergarten students behave in the classroom.  I am very proud of all of my students!

I am so excited about our class blog!  I have been wanting to start a blog so my class could communicate with my cousin who is in grad school at UGA.  I hope we have lots more friends who will read our blogs and communicate with us!  Drop us a line anytime.

This week in our class:   

    Our class is working on reviewing letter sounds, sounding out and writing new words, and reviewing our vocabulary words.  The vocabulary words we are reviewing this week are:  come, here, are, one, me, and little. 

    Our class is reviewing our money and beginning to use clocks to tell time.

     On Friday, we are going on a field trip.  We will share pictures and tell you about our fun adventure!
